When taping your child for an audition, you need to make sure you, or someone else reads the other characters lines for your child to work off of. I have seen parents make the mistake of only taping their child reading the lines they are auditioning for– in a row. A scene is a give and take. You need to show that your child is listening and responding to the other character, not just spitting out lines.
